Goodyear Blimp returns to the skies as 2026 Europe tour launches

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company today announced the start of the 2026 Goodyear Blimp Europe tour, bringing one of aviation’s most recognizable icons back to European motorsport skies.

The Goodyear Blimp is expected to make its first appearance of the season above in the skies of opening FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) race, offering fans a spectacular sight above the track.

For generations of fans, the Goodyear Blimp has been synonymous with major sporting moments and has become a powerful symbol of Goodyear’s heritage in racing. The planned appearances at the FIA WEC races will give fans attending the events, and those watching around the world, a chance to spot the famous airship overhead as it captures aerial views, adding to the excitement of race weekend.

The 2026 tour coincides with a milestone year for Goodyear in Europe, marking 75 years of operations in Luxembourg. In addition to manufacturing high quality tires, Luxembourg is also home to Goodyear’s second Innovation Centre, and the only one outside of the United States. From this base, Goodyear continues to develop technologies and partnerships that power some of the world’s greatest motorsport competitions.

Fans attending FIA WEC races throughout the season should keep their eyes on the sky as the Goodyear Blimp makes appearances at select events across Europe.
