Porsche chooses Dunlop Sport Maxx Race 2 to grip 718 Cayman GT4 RS

Dunlop Sport Maxx Race 2 is available as an ‘N2-rated’ original equipment (OE) option on the brand-new Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS, the range-topping variant of Porsche’s 718 family.

For the new version of Porsche’s hallowed GT family, Dunlop Sport Maxx Race 2 is one of the tires of choice.

The N2 version of Dunlop Sport Maxx Race 2 is homologated by Porsche for use on the 718 Cayman GT4 RS as well as the 718 Cayman GT4, in sizes 245/35ZR20 (front) and 295/30ZR20 (rear).

Dunlop Sport Maxx Race 2 is designed to give drivers intense grip in dry conditions and balance cornering under high G-forces, especially for high-performance sports cars like the 718 Cayman GT4 RS. Its ability to perform on the road and track is ideal for the track-orientated Cayman GT4 RS, which combines the racing prowess of Porsche’s motorsport division with the refinement of the popular 718 Cayman.

The increased lateral stiffness, block stability and resistance to flex allow Dunlop Sport Maxx Race 2 to remain stable under high G-forces, while an even pressure distribution across the tire’s footprint allows drivers to enjoy precise steering and control.

Hans Vrijsen, Managing Director Consumer OE, EMEA: “Dunlop Sport Maxx Race 2 is designed to unleash the potential of sports cars so we’re proud that Porsche has chosen another Dunlop tire as OE and N-rated fitments on the new 718 Cayman GT4 RS. The performance credentials of the 718 Cayman GT4 RS speak for themselves and we know that owners will be able to enjoy its road and track abilities to the fullest with the intense grip and balanced cornering delivered by Sport Maxx Race 2.”
