Goodyear announces SKU expansion for UltraGrip Performance 3 range, marking its largest winter lineup to date
Goodyear is set to further strengthen its position in the premium winter tire market with a major expansion of its UltraGrip Performance 3 lineup. Throughout 2025, the tire manufacturer will introduce 68 new coverage SKUs to the market, increasing its total offering to 269 SKUs and marking its most extensive winter offering to date.
This expansion reflects Goodyear’s commitment to the winter segment and significantly broadens its coverage across key vehicle categories. With demand continuing to grow across Europe’s SUV and electric vehicle (EV) markets, the expanded range now includes sizes from 14 to 22 inches, with 84% of the total fitments measuring 19” or larger. Many new sizes are already available to customers.
Goodyear UltraGrip Performance 3 is optimised to fit a wide range of modern vehicles including popular EVs such as the Volkswagen ID.7 Tourer, BMW i5 and Volvo EC40 and EX40. Like all Goodyear tires, UltraGrip Performance 3 is EV-ready thanks to special features which improve efficiency and reduce interior noise.1 This makes it an ideal choice for the very latest electric and internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles coming to market.
Offering outstanding grip and confidence in winter conditions, UltraGrip Performance 3 benefits from Goodyear innovations such as Snow Protect Technology and Wet Grip+ Technology, which together optimise the tire for cold-weather performance.
The tire offers exemplary performance in extreme winter conditions, having earned four test wins and 11 podium finishes since being launched in 2023; including being named test winner in ADAC’s 2024 winter tire test.2
Sonia Leneveu, Director Marketing Consumer EMEA, Goodyear: “We are responding directly to the evolving needs of drivers across Europe by extending the Goodyear UltraGrip Performance 3 range. This strengthens our winter tire portfolio, forms part of Goodyear’s largest-ever winter offering and once again demonstrates Goodyear’s commitment to delivering innovation and performance for drivers. The increase in available sizes is a testament to the popularity and performance of the product, proving that premium winter tires like Goodyear UltraGrip Performance 3 are the ideal way to enhance your driving experience on winter road trips.”
