Goodyear takes first place in Tyre Reviews All Season Tyre Test

The new Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Gen-3 impresses Tyre Reviews and takes the 2020 title

BIRMINGHAM, UK, September 23rd, 2020 – Tyre Reviews, the leading source of independent tyre information in the world, has crowned the new Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Gen-3 as the test winner in their 2020 17” All Season Tyre Test.

The test focused on the popular 225/45R17 size and assessed a range of disciplines in snow, dry and wet conditions. Tests included handling, braking, aquaplaning, noise, rolling resistance and price.

Goodyear’s new Vector 4Seasons Gen-3 product performed consistently well throughout the test to take the number one position. Jon Benson, owner and tester for Tyre Reviews said: “There are no faults [with this product]. It’s amazing that one tyre can do everything so well.”

The tyre is equipped with Snow Grip Technology, Dry Handling Technology and Aqua Control Technology, so it was no surprise to see the tyre taking podium positions in the dry, wet and snow timed and subjective handling tests, snow braking, snow traction and wet braking tests. The tyre also performed well in the noise test and came first in the rolling resistance tests.

Commenting on these performance areas, Benson reviewed: “[the performance of the product] shows how much work the Goodyear engineers have put into upgrading the already brilliant Vector 4Seasons Gen-2. Well done Goodyear, you should be really proud of this tyre, it’s excellent in pretty much every category.”

Mike Rytokoski, Chief Marketing Officer for Goodyear Europe commented: “We are thrilled that our new Vector 4Seasons Gen-3 has taken the top spot in this important tyre test. We have been present in the All Season market for over 30 years and we have extensive knowledge and experience of the technologies that go into making these tyres work in any condition, ensuring the best performance for consumers whatever the weather.”

“We have more All Season tyre test wins than any other brand*, and I am so proud of this fact. Our evolving Vector 4Seasons range continues to perform for us having won the 2019 Auto Express All Season Test and the 2020 Auto Express Product Award with the Gen-2 product. It’s great to see a win with the new Gen-3 product so soon after its launch into the market.”
