BIRMINGHAM, UK, May 17th, 2020 – Goodyear Tyres has performed exceptionally well in the recent Auto Express Product Awards published earlier this month.

The awards, which celebrate the top products in aftermarket car care to help motorists clean, maintain and protect their car, are backed by an extensive test programme that’s unmatched by any other UK car magazine.

Goodyear took first place in the summer tyre test and came commended in the all season tyre test leading to two Product Award wins for 2021.

Auto Express Best Tyre Product Award 2021 – Winner

Goodyear’s EfficientGrip Performance 2 took the win in the 2021 Product Awards which is its second Auto Express win since its launch in 2020. Kim Adams, who conducted the test for Auto Express, reported that the tyre rated highly on its “balance between wet handling, dry grip and impressive fuel economy”. The tyre also performed well against competitors for Rolling Resistance and Noise tests – coming first in both.

Kim Adams commended the tyre saying it “excelled at being a good all-rounder especially in snow and wet conditions, it also retained the snow ability of the predecessor whilst improving on fuel economy tests”.

Andy Marfleet, Goodyear’s Marketing Director UK&I commented: “We are thrilled to be given these accolades from Auto Express. The power of recommendation within the marketplace is very valuable, particularly when it comes from trusted magazines such as Auto Express in the UK. Taking these badges of honour is really important to us.”
