Brigade Electronics Group wins Goodyear Innovation Award at Motor Transport Awards

Goodyear UK is delighted to announce that Brigade Electronics Group has been nominated as the recipient of this year’s Goodyear Innovation Award at the Motor Transport Awards.

The Motor Transport Awards recognises the excellent contribution of UK road transport fleet operators, vehicle manufacturers, and innovators to the industry.

The Goodyear Innovation Award is given to the company with the most outstanding innovations in the commercial vehicle industry. Previous winners include DFDS Cold Chain England and Electra Commercial Vehicles.

Brigade Electronics Group, based in South Darenth, UK, provides market-leading vehicle safety systems which reduce the risk of collision and maximise efficiency to commercial vehicle customers worldwide.

It won the award for its Radar Predict Solution for articulated vehicles, hailed as one of the most technically sophisticated systems in the market. The technology identifies the behaviour of vehicles as well as vulnerable road users (VRU) by gathering object detection data such as speed, direction, acceleration and turning rate of the vehicle.

Kate Norton, Sales General Manager Commercial UK&I, Goodyear: “We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to recognise the work of Brigade Electronics group. The road transport sector is going through unprecedented levels of change as it strives to deliver great service while cutting emissions, improving safety and addressing the skills shortage. Brigade Electronics delivered the most innovative new solutions that address these issues. On behalf of Goodyear, congratulations to the whole team.”
