Goodyear’s winter range leads in latest Nordic winter tests

Goodyear has reinforced its position as a leading winter tire manufacturer for the Nordic region, following standout results in recent winter tire tests conducted by top Nordic automotive publications. The brand’s winter range delivered strong performances across multiple categories.

In the latest Teknikens Värld test¹, the Goodyear UltraGrip Arctic 2 was named best in class among studded tires. Meanwhile, the UltraGrip Ice 3 secured a strong second place overall, marking its third consecutive year on the podium. The UltraGrip Performance 3 also earned a shared second place in the Central European tire category from the Swedish magazine.

Balanced performance recognized across the region

The Nordic winter is long and varied, with significant climate differences from south to north. Choosing the right tire based on driving conditions is essential. Goodyear’s winter tire portfolio is engineered to meet these challenges, combining groundbreaking technology with proven performance.

Meanwhile, Finnish magazine Tekniikan Maailma awarded the UltraGrip Arctic 2 second place in the studded tire category, while the UltraGrip Ice 3 took third place among friction tires. Both products were praised for their balanced performance—underscoring Goodyear’s commitment to innovation and advanced winter tire technology.

For drivers in central Sweden or those planning trips further north, the UltraGrip Ice 3, a Nordic friction winter tire, may be the more suitable option.

In addition to these strong results, Swedish automotive publication Vi Bilägare² ranked the UltraGrip Ice 3 third overall, while the UltraGrip Arctic 2 SUV³ achieved second place among Nordic studded tires, further validating Goodyear’s performance across vehicle types.
