Goodyear wins Auto Bild All-Season award for second consecutive year

Leading German publication Auto Bild has crowned Goodyear its Top Manufacturer of All-Season Tires for the second consecutive year, recognising the Goodyear range of all-season tires as the best on the market in 2021. Goodyear is the joint winner of this year’s test.

Published in the 21 October 2021 edition (issue 42-2021), Auto Bild summarised that “all-season veteran Goodyear... convinces in our tests with the greatest safety reserves”1. The key product in Goodyear’s all-season portfolio is Vector 4Seasons Gen-3, which Auto Bild has already selected as the winner of its comprehensive all-season tire test in both 2020 and 20212.

Last year, the German magazine also crowned Goodyear as its all-season tire manufacturer of the year3. As such, Goodyear and the Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Gen-3 now remain unbeaten in these tests for two consecutive years. This year, Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Gen-3 scored higher in the mileage test than any other tire in the top five, and was the only tire to be given a top ‘green’ rating in all categories, helping it to score Auto Bild’s ‘vorbildlich’, or exemplary, rating.

Goodyear has a long history of producing industry-leading all-season tires. The brand invented the all-season tire in 1985, with the first iteration of the Goodyear Vector family. Since then, Goodyear has refined the recipe for developing a tire that performs all year long, whether in sun, rain or snow. In recent years, Goodyear has won more all-season tire tests than any other brand4.

Laurent Colantonio, Regional Technology Director EMEA, Goodyear: “We’re proud that the testers at Auto Bild have awarded Goodyear with their all-season tire manufacturer of the year award for a second time running. This acknowledgement underlines the development that we have invested in the Vector portfolio, resulting in the current iteration, Vector 4Seasons Gen-3, which is a test winner in its own right. We will continue to develop all-season technology and remain the industry leader for this growing segment of the tire market.”
