Goodyear strengthens Light Commercial Vehicle tire portfolio to keep fleets moving
Goodyear is set to strengthen its Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) tires offering by introducing an expanded Cargo tire range in the premium segment, with reliable top-quality tires that give fleets a solution that helps to reduce downtime and keep them moving.
Throughout 2023, a total of 24 new sizes will be available among Goodyear EfficientGrip Cargo 2, Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Cargo and Goodyear UltraGrip Cargo as Goodyear continues to meet the high demands of customers across the summer, all-season and winter markets, offering up to 89% coverage across the seasons. This makes Goodyear’s LCV tire portfolio one of the most complete in the market.
The LCV premium tire market is also expected to grow by 4.2% by 2028, offering constant opportunities to enhance efficiencies with first-class products and solutions1.
Original equipment
Goodyear is the tire of choice for some of the leading light commercial vehicle OEMs. Recently, Volkswagen selected Goodyear as a tire supplier for the ID.Buzz2 and ID.Buzz Cargo3. Elsewhere, Mercedes’ Sprinter4 and EQV5 models are fitted with the latest Goodyear tires as original equipment across the three seasons.
Goodyear’s portfolio of products meets the highest demands, with proven performance in multiple tire tests, inspiring confidence in fleets and OEMs alike. Auto Bild Reisemobil6 wrote highly of the Vector 4Seasons Cargo: "All-round talent with secure road performances in all weather conditions, stable side grip, short braking distances on wet, good comfort.” Meanwhile, Promobil7 recommended the tire, describing it as “Very controllable, safe handling behaviour [with] short braking distances and good aquaplaning resistance on wet surfaces.”
