Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2 awarded best grade in ADAC tire test

Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2 was recently awarded the highest ranking by the ADAC in the organisation’s milestone 50th anniversary summer tire test1

The Goodyear tire was described by testers as “enormously well-balanced”, meaning it provides consistency and confidence across the whole range of conditions. It was also given the best score for tread wear and was among the top performers in efficiency.

Criteria for the test now include an “environmental balance sheet” rating, which contributes 30% of the total score. This is added to the “driving safety” component of the test.

Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2 helps drivers travel further, while delivering a high level of performance including an A-rating in Wet Grip on the European Tire Label. It boasts an impressive 50% higher mileage than its predecessor2 and 20% percent higher than its closest tested competitor3. The tire also includes the latest wet braking and dry stability technology developed by Goodyear.

Sonia Leneveu, Director Marketing Consumer Europe, Goodyear: “We are particularly proud to announce that the EfficientGrip Performance 2 recently achieved the top grade rating in the ADAC’s ‘50 years - 50 tires’ test. This is one of the most comprehensive tests conducted in the tire industry and coming out on top is a testament to the relentless work of everyone at Goodyear to create an industry-leading product.”
