Today, the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company announced that the iconic Goodyear Blimp will come back to Italy, visiting the Imola Circuit “Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari” for the first time during the upcoming FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) Round. This milestone event marks the first stop of the Goodyear Blimp on its 100th anniversary tour across Europe.
As the exclusive supplier of tires for the LMGT3 class at the FIA WEC, Goodyear is pivotal in equipping some of motorsport’s most prestigious racing brands, including McLaren, Ferrari and Aston Martin. The presence of the Goodyear Blimp at Imola underscores the importance of these partnerships to Goodyear whilst also bringing an extra layer of excitement to a renowned event in the racing season.
Celebrating 100 Years of the Goodyear Blimp
The visit to Imola additionally marks the start of celebrations in Europe for an extraordinary milestone: 100 years of the Goodyear Blimp. For a century, this aviation icon has captivated crowds worldwide with its pioneering journeys, unmistakable silhouette and distinctive branding.
