Exemplary performance for all-new Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 in first Summer tire tests

  • The recently launched Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 took home the test win in prestigious Auto Bild allrad
  • Gute Fahrt and Auto Bild and Auto Bild Sportscars awarded the tire a podium place with all magazines praising its braking performance and giving it an exemplary rating

Brussels – The Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 was awarded the first place in the prestigious Auto Bild allrad summer tire test, leaving the competition behind by delivering the shortest combined braking distance on dry and wet surfaces. Auto Bild allrad also complemented the tire on its overall performance, sporty handling and precise steering.[1]

The Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5, Goodyear’s ultimate all-round summer tire for the road, also received excellent recommendations from Gute Fahrt[2], Auto Bild[3] and Auto Bild Sportscars[4]. The magazines praised Goodyear’s latest addition to the Eagle F1 Asymmetric range for its outstanding performance in wet – especially braking and handling.

The Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 excelled on dry surfaces too. Gute Fahrt described its dry handling as first class. While AutoBild applauded the tire’s outstanding mileage and high-steering precision.

The test results illustrate that the Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5’s wet braking and dry handling performance are one of a kind. The highly-refined compound of the tires guarantees wet weather capabilities with endurance. Goodyear’s innovative contact patch extends the contact with the road: shortening the driver’s breaking distance with an astonishing 4% on wet surfaces and 7% on dry undergrounds, compared to its predecessor – the award-winning Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3.

With the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5, drivers can go start something great as the feedback through the steering is enhanced, providing a more communicative and confidence-inspiring driving experience.
