By 2026, the lineup will include 96 SKUs across rim diameters from 16 to 23 inches, with 66% of the range in 19 inches and above. Between 2022 and 2025, sales of 19-inch and above all-season tires increased by more than 20%[5] per year, underscoring the shift toward larger rim sizes and highlighting the need for broader all-season fitment coverage.

Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 has excelled in the latest European magazine tests, claiming top honours in Auto Bild and AUTO ZEITUNG’s latest summer tire tests and achieving an impressive shared second place finish in the renowned ADAC’s test. 

Auto Bild named it Test Winner and recognised it with the prestigious ‘Eco-Master’ award. ¹ This marks the sixth time since 2020 that a Goodyear tire has earned this accolade.  

Testers praised the ultra-high-performance (UHP) tire for its excellent balance of performance, class-leading mileage, lowest cost per 1,000 km driven and its lowest external noise ¹, reinforcing its readiness to equip the latest electric vehicles.

AUTO ZEITUNG, also awarding Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 with Test Winner status in its latest test, hailed the tire as an “absolutely flawless winner,” commending its ability to “combine performance and sustainability at the highest level.”² The publication further recognised its environmental credentials, awarding it an ‘Environmental Recommendation’ for its balance of performance and efficiency.²  

In addition, Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 also secured a shared second place finish out of seventeen and an overall “Good” rating in ADAC's latest summer tire test. Largest offer of all time 

This follows last month’s announcement that Goodyear is to expand its Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 range to its most extensive range ever. Throughout 2025, 42 new tire sizes will enter the market to increase the total product offering to 233 SKUs. New Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 SKUs for 2025:  

BMW has announced Goodyear as the tire partner for the new BMW M2 Cup. The new customer sports cup, is designed as a platform for promising up-and-coming talent and will feature support races at high-profile DTM (German Touring Car) events. 

The BMW M2 Cup allows rookies from junior racing series and karting to move up the racing ladder to compete in powerful rear wheel drive cars. 

BMW has chosen experienced, premium partners for this important new series. Tolimit GmbH has been commissioned as the promoter and has decades of experience in customer motorsport and talent promotion. Goodyear has vast experience in international motorsport as official tire partner to leading touring car championships such as the FIA World Touring Car Cup and British Touring Car Championship, as well as a successful record in endurance racing. According to Jörg Michaelis, Tolimit’s Project Manager for the BMW M2 Cup, this is key to the cooperation: "With Goodyear, we have gained a reliable partner who not only qualitatively meets the demands of a one-make cup, but also fully supports the promotion concept."

The philosophy of the BMW M2 Cup includes the greatest possible equality of opportunity and transparency. The cars are prepared centrally, and the chassis are reassigned to each driver for each race weekend. This is to give the drivers the best possible opportunity to demonstrate their skills in a fair comparison with other up-and-coming drivers. Rookies benefit from years of Goodyear expertise

With Goodyear, the rookie drivers can rely on an experienced partner when it comes to tires. The involvement in the BMW M2 Cup continues the long-standing cooperation between BMW and Goodyear: "We have a seven-year relationship with BMW in the 240i Cup on the Nordschleife alone. Before that, we had an intensive development partnership in the BMW M3 GT2 race programme at the Nürburgring 24h and other international endurance series." said Alexander Kühn, Goodyear Car Motorsport Product Manager EMEA.

After the recent introduction of the new Eagle F1 SuperSport range, Goodyear is proud to announce that the Eagle F1 SuperSport RS has been homologated for the Porsche 911 GT2 RS and Porsche 911 GT3 RS for the sizes 265/35 ZR 20 (99Y) XL and 325/30 ZR 21 (108Y) XL.

Lead Engineer Porsche Motorsport Jan Frank comments on the new tire, “The new Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperSport RS has proven to provide the very high-performance level which we from Porsche require.” Goodyear has designed a great tire for us which perfectly fits into the extreme requirements of our Porsche 911 GT2 RS.”

Setting lap times at the Nardò Porsche Test circuit at Nardò in Italy was the final stage of development for the new Eagle F1 SuperSport RS, which marks Goodyear’s return to the Ultra Ultra High Performance (UUHP) market segment. Nick Harley, managing director of Goodyear OE in the EMEA region comments, “In development of the SuperSport RS we have leveraged our talented engineering teams and world class development facilities to produce a world-beating UUHP tire. The tire is designed to enhance the performance and handling characteristics of the most specialist machinery on the roads today and in vehicle manufacturer’s development pipelines.”

Tire requirements

Fitted with 265/35ZR20 (99Y) XL (front) and 325/30ZR21 (108Y) XL (rear), the GT2 RS usage scenario was particularly challenging. Porsche Motorsport required tires capable of predictably and exploitably transmitting 700 hp and 750 nm through the rear wheels, a challenge compounded by peak torque arriving from just 2500 rpm, transferring power into straight-line and cornering performance resulting in superior lap times.

“The list of tires truly competitive in these conditions is short,” continues Harley. “For the Eagle F1 SuperSport RS to receive the praise it has from a manufacturer with as relentless a pursuit of improvement as Porsche, truly reflects how far Goodyear has moved the UUHP segment on.”

The homologation entails that Porsche will be retailing N0-marked Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperSport RS tires through its dealer network to owners seeking performance and steering precision in dry conditions.

Technical notes: Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperSport RS

Goodyear developed the Eagle F1 SuperSport RS specially for Porsche Motorsport, with a brief to facilitate record performance on track. Xavier Fraipont, VP EMEA Product Development for Goodyear is bullish about the tire’s capabilities: “Goodyear has a great heritage in motorsport,” he explains. “Now we bring all our experience and knowledge into the new Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperSport RS, developed in Europe to increase performance level of super sport cars, with main focus on all track day performances.”

Benefitting from exhaustive development at Development Center Hanau, Germany where more hundreds of engineers, scientists and technicians work on new materials, tread designs and manufacturing techniques, Eagle F1 SuperSport RS brings a number of pioneering developments to the UUHP market:

Pure racing compound maximizes dry grip by combining very stiff tread elements with a reduced tread depth. The combined benefit helps maximizing the g- forces while minimizing movement of tread pattern in extreme cornering conditions, this providing the driver with both maximum grip level and extremely precise steering behavior.

The adapted tire construction utilizes further lessons from motorsport and bestows the Eagle F1 SuperSport RS with an optimized tire profile to increase size of contact in combination to strong Aramid winding to keep the pressure distribution constant in different driving conditions and at different speeds.

Finally, the tread design features a massive outer shoulder which has been designed to optimize transmission of all lateral forces and facilitate extreme cornering stability.

The tires deploy innovative technologies and compounds that enable significant improvements to braking distances and lap times without neglecting more intangible elements of the driving experience, such as feedback during turn-in, under braking and approaching breakaway.

The Goodyear SuperSport range

The Eagle F1 SuperSport draws on Goodyear’s racing experience to provide superior grip and handling. Responsive directional changes are ensured through the stiff tread ribs while a massive closed outside pattern, used on the tire’s shoulder, provides control during load transfers in corners. A super-stiff sidewall design further improves handling without unduly compromising ride comfort. Although primarily developed for dry conditions, Goodyear has innovatively addressed wet performance through the deployment of a multi-compound combination that sees dry-optimized outer sections paired with three wet-optimized central segments. This enables drivers to safely push harder through corners on dry roads while still enjoying an exceptional wet braking and wet handling performance.

The Eagle F1 SuperSport R further increases grip levels and steering precision on and off track. Grip levels are enhanced through use of a high-friction compound that provides exceptional dry grip levels, while excellent cornering stability is ensured by bridges in the tread pattern’s inner groove reducing deformation of tread blocks under extreme cornering forces. Steering precision and feedback have also been further enhanced by optimizing the tire’s footprint for more consistent pressure distribution.

The Eagle F1 SuperSport RS is Goodyear’s most race-focused tire, designed to push the limit on track while remaining road legal. A highly specialized racing-originated compound provides ultimate grip and performance levels in dry conditions.
