The company has approximately 71,000 employees and manufacturing at more than 55 facilities in 22 countries around the world. At its two innovation centers in Akron, Ohio and Colmar-Berg, Luxembourg, cutting-edge products and services are developed that set the industry standard for technology and performance. The new offering allows fleets equipped with OEM TPMS on their new vehicles to utilize Goodyear's solutions and apps to enhance fleet efficiency without the need to install new hardware.

Helps fleets comply with EU regulations for TPMS

The launch of Goodyear TPMS Connect comes at the right time. The system complies with the EU's latest regulations for TPMS, which require all new motor vehicles, including trucks, trailers, and vans, to be equipped with TPMS that accurately measures and transmits tire pressure information to the driver.

Many fleets are equipped with standard TPMS from original equipment manufacturers (OEM), and these systems can limit the visibility of notifications so that only drivers see them. This can potentially complicate the work for fleet coordinators and limit their ability to quickly address tire issues, potentially leading to costly downtime and maintenance. Goodyear TPMS Connect addresses these shortcomings by providing a seamless plug-and-play solution that integrates with existing TPMS hardware for telematics. Goodyear's solution can utilize existing TPMS hardware and enhance it by providing comprehensive data access and intelligent fleet management features.

Key benefits of Goodyear TPMS Connect:

Seamless integration: Easily connects to existing TPMS hardware for telematics, eliminating the need for additional hardware or SIM cards.

Quick onboarding: Rapid onboarding of vehicles over the air (OTA) without the need to take vehicles out of service for installations. The solution connects to Goodyear Cloud within 24 hours.

Better data access: Provides fleet operators with predictive and preventive alerts so they can make data-driven decisions.

Comprehensive visibility: Offers GPS tracking and geofencing for efficient and location-based service.

Intelligent analytics: Uses advanced algorithms to analyze TPMS data and provide actionable insights for proactive monitoring and maintenance.

Goodyear's engineers have designed a suite of algorithms called G-Predict technology. They can identify potential tire issues before they escalate, allowing the vehicle to remain in service longer and minimizing downtime.

“We are excited to introduce Goodyear TPMS Connect – a solution that provides fleet operators with insights and control over their entire tire management,” said Piotr Czyżyk, Managing Director, Fleet Mobility EMEA at Goodyear. “The innovative technology enhances the efficiency and safety of fleet operations, reflecting our commitment to driving intelligent mobility into the future. We look forward to expanding its availability and helping more fleets achieve optimal performance.”

Goodyear TPMS Connect is currently available with selected new trailers from original equipment manufacturers, meaning those who purchase new equipment can experience the benefits of improved tire management and fleet optimization. Goodyear understands that different fleets have different needs, and is working to make the innovative solution available for more vehicles in the near future so that more fleets can leverage the advanced features to achieve better performance and efficiency.

Goodyear is showcasing TPMS Connect at IAA Transportation where visitors can see for themselves how the advanced solution can transform fleet operations. Experts from Goodyear will be on hand to demonstrate the seamless integration features and discuss the benefits of proactive tire management.

For more information, visit Goodyear in hall 21, booth B38 at IAA Transportation 2024 and discover how Goodyear's innovative products and solutions can transform your fleet operations.

LATEST NEWS,truck industrial aviation,PRODUCTS and SERVICES,Goodyear Total Mobility

<pp:caseid>361218</pp:caseid>

Goodyear is proud to announce a new, five-year partnership with Reynolds Logistics, a family-owned leading bulk logistics company specialising in the haulage of liquid products. Reynolds Logistics distributes bulk fuels and hazardous goods throughout the UK and Europe, providing efficient and innovative logistical solutions.

As part of its comprehensive Goodyear Total Mobility end to end offer to fleets, Goodyear is providing KMAX GEN-2 and KMAX T tyres for trucks, trailers and tankers in the Reynolds Logistics fleet. The all-new Goodyear KMAX GEN-2 range delivers enhanced mileage to optimise tyre life and overcome challenging road conditions. The overall benefits of the KMAX GEN-2 range are up to 25% better all-weather capability, 15% more damage resistance and 5% higher fuel efficiency*. Low rolling resistance also contributes to lower CO2 emissions.

KMAX GEN-2 tyres also include radio frequency identification (RFID). The RFID tag is embedded inside the tyre to allow simple identification and connectivity to management and tracking systems, resulting in efficient tyre flow management.

Designed to provide extensive mileage, the KMAX T offers superb mileage, thanks to its high wearable rubber volume, paired with an innovative tread compound which provides excellent braking on wet surfaces and fuel-saving potential. As a result, the KMAX T range helps to reduce downtime and the overall cost of fleet maintenance.

As part of the new partnership, Reynolds Logistics will also receive support from Truckforce, Goodyear’s pan-European service network. Specialising in the complete lifecycle management of commercial truck tyres, TruckForce’s services include preventive maintenance, replacement, regrooving, retreading and roadside assistance. Reynolds Logistics Ltd will have the support of more than 2,000 service network locations in 32 countries, which provide a 24/7 road assistance breakdown service. Over 96% of incidents in the UK can be reached by TruckForce within 45 minutes, getting vehicles back on the road within 120 minutes**.

Andrew Reynolds CEO of Reynolds Logistics, comments: “Partnering with Goodyear will be a huge benefit for our fleet. In a business like ours, which hinges on transporting hazardous liquids and gases, the thought of a vehicle being stranded on the side of the road with a tyre-related problem is an unsettling one. We need to ensure that we have the best possible equipment, and with the provision of quality premium tyres and the support offered by TruckForce, we’re confident that our fleet will meet the needs of our customers safely and effectively.”

David Howe, General Manager – Commercial at Goodyear UK, comments: “We understand that tyre maintenance might not always be the primary concern of a busy fleet manager. Our aim for Reynolds Logistics though is that by equipping them with a premium product, helping to maintain their tyres and providing around-the-clock assistance – all as part of our complete Goodyear Total Mobility offering – we can play an important part in meeting those essential objectives: ensuring an efficient fleet and unparalleled customer satisfaction.”

Goodyear Total Mobility is a new offering, designed to help fleet managers get the best from their tyres every step of the way. It includes everything from premium tyres to proactive maintenance and breakdown service, and digital solutions – all in one package. Many customers are starting to use elements of Goodyear Total Mobility, Reynolds being one of them.
