Goodyear proudly announces that it supplies DS Automobiles with original equipment tires for the new DS7 Crossback, a premium SUV launched in 2017 by the French car manufacturer.
Goodyear is fitting the DS7 Crossback with Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 SUV summer tires in size 235/45R20 100V XL. It’s Goodyear’s latest model in the Eagle F1 Asymmetric range, and is specifically developed to provide an ultra-high performance for SUV drivers. The tire underlines the vehicle’s perfect balance between strength and elegance.
Engineers at Goodyear worked tirelessly to improve the tread design with the help of the new SUV-Optimized Construction Technology. The new cords in the construction’s different layers help to improve handling of the vehicle at higher speeds, optimize cornering stiffness, and to decrease tread wear. To reduce the tread wear further, the tire’s cavity and pattern have also been optimized.
These features are combined with the UHP Cool Cushion Layer, a technology that improves handling while reducing rolling resistance, resulting in better fuel efficiency.
A key feature of the new Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 SUV is its Active Braking Technology. When braking, the tire's contact surface with the road, and thus its grip, increases, which allows for shorter braking distances in both dry and wet road conditions.
"We are proud to be a key partner for the highly anticipated DS7 Crossback,” said Nick Harley, Managing Director OE Consumer for Goodyear EMEA. “The Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 SUV is the latest member of the Eagle F1 family and just like the DS7 Crossback it’s designed to enhance the performance of SUV, allowing the drivers to fully experience the benefits of an SUV, while enjoying the features of a UHP tire".
