Goodyear beats competition in latest Auto Zeitung winter tire test

The Goodyear UltraGrip Performance Gen-1 has been deemed the test winner by German car magazine ‘Auto Zeitung’ in their latest winter tire test. The tire received the accolade thanks to its outstanding performance across all test criteria.

The Goodyear UltraGrip Performance Gen-1 received the praise thanks to its safe performance under all testing conditions.[1] On snow the tire stood out with its grip and predictability in wintery conditions, while in wet conditions it was able to showcase great traction. In dry conditions the UltraGrip Performance Gen-1 convinced the editors of Auto Zeitung with a very balanced performance.

Auto Zeitung used a BMW 520D to test thirteen tires on a test track (Arctic Center) in Finland. The test criteria on different road surfaces include amongst others: traction, steering precision, driving stability and comfort.

“Goodyear has always had a very strong line-up of Winter tires’, comments Mike Rytokoski, Vice-President, Chief Marketing Officer Europe for Goodyear. “The many awards across the UltraGrip range are a testament to this, and we are very happy to add the Auto Zeitung award to the list.”
