Go Further This Summer: Goodyear Blimp coming to Wrocław

  • Goodyear Blimp to fly over Wrocław on 31 July - 2 August
  • Airship to pass Prague on 30 July

After last year's return to the skies, the Goodyear Blimp is visiting many more cities and events in 2021. Following the first few visits, as the next destination, the airship will be coming to one of the biggest cities in Poland - Wrocław, passing Czech Republic capital Prague on the way.

Between 31 July and 2 August, the Goodyear Blimp will fly over Wrocław providing residents with a rare glimpse of one of the world’s most famous aircrafts. On Sunday, 1 August live reportage from Goodyear Blimp’s temporary airport base in Szymanów near Wrocław will be streamed during the Polish morning TV programme “Dzień Dobry Wakacje" broadcasted by TVN channel.

On the way to Wrocław, the Blimp will pass a number of locations, including Memminger, Augsburg, Regensburg, and Pilsen (29 July), as well as Trutnov and Prague (30 July), allowing citizens of the Czech capital to spot the legendary airship in the city’s skies.

The Blimp operating in Europe is a Goodyear-branded Zeppelin NT semi-rigid airship. This model is the largest of its kind in the world today. Seen in the skies since the 1910s, the tire manufacturer’s brand ambassador not only provides once-in-a-lifetime experiences but is also used for the coverage of major events, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Malachy Tuohy, Head of Communications, Consumer Europe, said that “We can’t wait to welcome the Goodyear Blimp in its tour over Poland. What is more, flying over Prague on the way to its final destination will also allow Czechs to spot the iconic airship in the sky. It will be a fantastic opportunity to see the Goodyear Blimp over these great cities.”
