Go Further This Summer: Goodyear Blimp coming to Slovenia

  • Goodyear Blimp to fly over Ljubljana, Lesce and Bled on 21 July

After last year's return to the skies, the Goodyear Blimp is visiting many more cities and events in 2021, including Ljubljana, Lesce and Bled in Slovenia.

After a tour of northeastern Italy, on 20 July, including a fly over of Verona, Padua, Venice, and Trieste, the Goodyear Blimp will enter Slovenia. On 21 July, the legendary Blimp will visit Ljubljana, Lesce and Bled. After the event, the iconic airship will go on an Alpine adventure, passing over the cities of Graz, Wiener Neustadt, Wels, Munich, and Memmingen between 22 and 23 July.

The Blimp operating in Europe is a Goodyear-branded Zeppelin NT semi-rigid airship. This model is the largest of its kind in the world today. Seen in the skies since the 1910s, the tire manufacturer’s brand ambassador not only provides once-in-a-lifetime experiences but is also used for the coverage of major racing events, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Malachy Tuohy, Head of Communications, Consumer Europe, said that “We’re really happy to bring the Goodyear Blimp to Slovenia. The famous airship will fly over the capital of Slovenia as well as Lesce and Bled, allowing citizens to spot the legendary airship in the sky.”
