Dunlop riders geared up for August trio of 2018 FIM Moto2™ and Moto3™ World Championship races

The 2018 FIM Moto2™ and Moto3™ World Championships return after the summer break with three races in August, starting with round 10 at Brno in the Czech Republic on 5 August. A week later they head to the Red Bull Ring, Austria and rounding out the month, round 12 takes place at Silverstone, UK on 26 August.

Just seven points separate the top two in Moto2. Francesco Bagnaia has claimed four wins, with Miguel Oliveira just one, but Oliveira has demonstrated great fightbacks through the field and also tops Dunlop’s Forever Forward Award. Jorge Martin has five Moto3 wins this season, including the last two rounds, and leads the championship by seven points from Marco Bezecchi.

July Recap – Sachsenring provides record-breaking performances

Round nine took place at the Sachsenring and saw Mattia Pasini set a new pole record in Moto2. Bagnaia’s championship lead was reduced to seven points after finishing twelfth following contact with Pasini in the race. 2016 Moto3 champion Brad Binder came through from tenth to secure his first Moto2 victory. Martin took control of the Moto3 race on lap six to win his fifth race of the season from Bezzecchi, his fourth second-place, with Briton John McPhee securing his first podium of the year.
