  • Dunlop has announced new Original Equipment fitments for its motorcycle tyre range.

Harley Davidson has approved the latest GT502 in for their new XL1200 CX Roadster. This motorcycle uses two new GT502 sizes (120/70R19 F and 150/70R18 rear) featuring an all-new radial construction. These tyres have been designed to suit the sportier nature of the latest Roadster with its dynamic suspension and upgraded braking components.

Dunlop collaborated closely with Harley-Davidson vehicle dynamics team to develop this exclusive fitment. The rear tyre features a Jointless Belt construction (JLB) and a unique profile. The tyre uses a silica-rich compound derived from Dunlop’s latest Sport Touring tyres to optimise mileage and wet performance.

Dmitri Talboom, Product Manager, Dunlop Moto EMEA stated: ‘For this Roadster, Harley-Davidson had set high goals for stability, responsiveness, rider comfort and cornering control. By developing an all-new construction and compound for these new sizes of GT502 we have worked in partnership to achieve these targets’

Moto Guzzi have chosen the American Elite front and rear for their California 1400 Eldorado, Victory for their High-Ball and Indian for the Chief Vintage.

‘Dunlop’s move to MultiTread technology on the American Elite has brought improved durability , greater lean angles, better stability and wet grip to the Cruiser and Touring tyre market. We are proud that this performance has been recognized with OE approvals from a diverse range of leading bike manufacturers’ added Dmitri.
