Carlos Cipollitti

Carlos Cipollitti is Vice President EMEA Product Development and General Director GIC*L (Goodyear Innovation Center Luxemburg) for The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company’s Europe, Middle East and Africa business unit.

As Director of one of the most sophisticated Tire Research, Development and Evaluation centers in the world, Cipollitti is responsible for the work of some 650 highly specialized R&D engineers and scientists and 270 tire testers.

Carlos joined Goodyear in 1984 and has held a variety of technical and managerial roles in Latin America, North America, Europe and Asia Pacific. Prior to his current assignment, Cipollitti’s career path with the company includes Project Manager Radial Truck Tire Development in Akron, Ohio, USA, and Manager Quality and Manufacturing Services Asia Pacific, based in Luxembourg. As regional Director Technology Quality and Product Development, Cipollitti was instrumental in the start-up of Goodyear’s new manufacturing plant for consumer and truck tires in Pulandian, China.

Cipollitti is American, but grew up in Venezuela. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Simón Bolívar University in Caracas, Venezuela and an MBA in Management from Walsh University in Ohio, USA
