Dunlop teams approach critical EWC Oschersleben round

  • GMT94 Yamaha and Honda Endurance Racing looking to take title lead before final round
  • Superstock title to be decided

The penultimate round of the FIM Endurance World Championship (EWC) will be decisive for both classes. The 8 Hours of Oschersleben (Germany) will be the last chance to score points before the EWC finale at Suzuka next month.

Dunlop title contenders GMT94 Yamaha and Honda Endurance Racing will do everything possible to take the lead in the standings battle. GMT94 needs to overcome just a single point deficit while the Honda squad has a bigger task, looking to score at least 16 points more than current leaders.

The Oschersleben race forms the final round of the Superstock class Endurance World Cup. Currently the top-three in the standings all choose to race on Dunlop tyres. Tati Team Beaujolais Racing is the front runner in the title race, seven points ahead of Junior Team LMS Suzuki with Moto AIN a further three points behind.

Last year the German round proved to be a strong one for Dunlop teams with GMT94 and Moto AIN taking the wins, four out of six podiums and six Dunlop teams finishing in the top ten.

Dunlop Independents’ Trophy

Dunlop Independent Trophy teams will again compete for the cash prizes as well as points. So far this season 37 cash prizes have been awarded to registered teams. For Oschersleben the top prize will be €4000 with a total of €20,000 available to the top ten Dunlop Independent Trophy finishers.
