Dunlop looking to build on Motocross of Nations title success

There has seldom been a year without a Dunlop rider on the top step of the podium and Dunlop aims to continue that success at the 2018 FIM Motocross of Nations (MXoN) at Red Bud near Michigan, USA.

45 nations will be competing for the title, for which three riders compete for their country. Riders are selected for the honour with 15 out of the 30 riders in the top-ten ranked teams choosing to race on Dunlop tyres including several USA riders who will be on home territory.

MXGP and MX2 Dunlop racers Clement Desalle (Kawasaki) and Jago Geerts (Yamaha) form two-thirds of the Belgium team. Dylan Ferrandis (Yamaha) races for defending champions France, while all three of the USA squad are racing on Dunlop tyres. Ben Watson (Yamaha), who finished fourth in MX2 this year, competes for Great Britain alongside fellow Dunlop rider MXGP’s Tommy Searle (Kawasaki). Canada, Ireland, Portugal and Japan also feature all-Dunlop line-ups.

Dunlop will feature on bikes from six different manufacturers: in addition to Kawasaki, Dunlop MX partner, riders will also feature with Yamaha, KTM, Husqvarna, Honda and Suzuki machines.

MXoN takes place on 6thand 7th October, with three qualifying races, a ‘B’ final and three races to determine the 2017 champions.

Tyre Choice
Riders will use Dunlop Geomax MX33 to grip the intermediate track.
