Goodyear chosen for highly anticipated Alfa Romeo Giulia

New levels of handling and fuel efficiency for the new Italian piece of design

Goodyear proudly announces that the new Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 and the Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance tires are accredited with original equipment fitments on the new and eagerly awaited Alfa Romeo Giulia.

The new Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 Ultra High Performance summer tire, developed to meet the needs of powerful sedan and sports car drivers, will be fitted with an all-round fitment (225/45 R18 91 Y) or with a mixed set up, (225/45 R18 91 Y at the front and 255/40 R18 95Y at the rear) according to market specifics.

Both sizes will be equipped with Goodyear’s RunOnFlat technology, which incorporates reinforced sidewalls that can carry the weight of a car for up to 80 km1 after a puncture with complete loss of air pressure.

Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance, Goodyear’s range of tires dedicated to reducing fuel consumption, will be fitted in size 205/60 R16 92W. Because of its low rolling resistance characteristics, this size will fit the Giulia “AE” version (“Advanced Efficiency”), focused on reducing CO2 emissions.

All tires will be marked ‘AR’, to indicate tires approved by Alfa Romeo as Original Equipment on their vehicles.

The new Alfa Romeo Giulia incorporates the finest materials, cutting-edge technologies, an aerodynamic design and optimal weight distribution, all adding up to the highest levels of performance. Matched with the Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3, the Giulia is geared up for outstanding braking performance, responsive handling and control in both dry and wet conditions, providing comfort and driving pleasure at the same time. The Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance tire, assures outstanding performances in terms of CO2 emissions and fuel efficiency.
