Dunlop increase support for Honda Talent Challenge

Dunlop has been appointed as the Official Tyre Partner to the Honda Talent Challenge, the new Central European championship for the Honda NSF250R.

In addition to providing sponsorship, Dunlop has committed to providing a complimentary set of tyres to the first ten riders who sign up for the Challenge. This incentive, in addition to a generous prize fund being offered Honda, is designed to make it easier for young talent to get on the grid.

Registrations for the championship are now open at the promoter’s website: www.lutecracing.com.

The Honda Talent Challenge features races in Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Germany as well as a showcase event on the iconic MotoGP circuit at Assen, Netherlands. It aims to nurture and promote talent from those countries and beyond, with the goal of finding top-level riders who can win at World Championship level.

Wim Van Achter, Dunlop Motorsport Manager said: “Dunlop, through our support of the ‘Road to MotoGP’ Talent Cups has been a long time supporter of developing young riders. In this region, Dunlop tyres have been chosen by multiple race winners in the highly competitive Alpe Adria Championship. Therefore, it’s natural that we extend our talent development mindset to encompass these countries too.”

Dunlop will also use this championship to debut a new specification of ‘pre-Moto3’ tyre, which will also be used in Italian and Spanish junior championships. This gives performance that is close to the World Championship level performance with the durability and cost-effectiveness that is appropriate for a premium national level event.
